I sometimes have same day availability, but it may not look like there are any openings on my scheduling page. Please do contact me if you want same day availability. I sometimes have weekend openings for emergencies, but not always.
Scheduling must be done through this process, even if we have spoken about potential visit times, and is not confirmed until you schedule here and you have filled out my intake form (located on the preparing for visits page and also in the booking confirmation email).
Please Note: Home Visits only are available on a very limited basis in December 2019. If you have a baby under one week old, multiples under 6 weeks old, or a baby just home from the NICU and do not see home visit availability, please contact me to schedule a home visit during the month of December 2019. All others can easily schedule an office visit, or you can also contact me for any availability if these circumstances do not apply to you but you would like a home visit.
I may need to slightly shift your appointment time based on your location for home visits.
Weather policy: I will reschedule home visit appointments if road conditions are not good. Also, if Baldwinsville schools delay or cancel, it is likely I will need to adjust the time or day of your visit.
I spend 2-2.5 hours with you and your baby for initial home visits (or 2 hours for initial office visits), and will do a complete assessment and create a written care plan to help you meet your breastfeeding goals. Payment is due to me at the visit as I am not in network with any insurance companies. I have a billing agency submit your claim for you for any possible reimbursement (except BC/BS). If you have multiples please book a home visit only with the multiples appointment below, or contact me before you schedule so I can set up a custom office time (longer appointment time) for you. It is more likely for multiples visits that I will have to adjust your appointment time or day to give us enough time together for the visit- but please do schedule a time that works for you and then we will adjust later if needed.
Please note that your visit is not confirmed until you have booked it through my online scheduling system here and also filled out my intake form (found on my Preparing for Visits page, and also emailed to you after you book your visit).
If you recently had a C Section or cannot walk easily down a small hill if the parking lot is full, please contact me prior to your visit so I can arrange parking close to the door.
A note for all Blue Cross/Blue Shield clients as of July 2019:
BCBS refusing to accept claims submitted by my biller, even though my BCBS clients have gotten reimbursement using this process for the past year.
Until further notice you will have to submit the claim yourself. I will give you instructions for this process and give you a superbill.
I will not be able to correspond directly with your insurance in any way. This includes writing letters, talking on the phone, or submitting any paperwork beyond the 3 key items they require: a claim form, a claim and a superbill.
For all of my visits and claims I have never been able to guarantee any reimbursement, though I always do my best to get my clients what they should be getting from their insurance, and many of my client have received full or partial reimbursement.
Lactation *should* be covered according to the Affordable Healthcare Act.
